Tasty French Beans with Coconut Recipe

French Beans with Coconut is an authentic side dish of India. This dish has a nice combination of french beans and grated coconut. This dish can be prepared very easily at your home. This is a perfect on a busy day and also a perfect side dish for your daily lunch or dinner. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 cups french beans, cut diagonally
- a pinchof soda bi-carbonate
- 1 tbspoil
- 1/2 cupfinely chopped onions
- 1/2 cupfinely chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 cupchili powder
- 1/4 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
- saltto taste
For The Garnish
- 2 tbsproasted grated coconut
- 1 tbsproasted sesame seeds (til)
Directions
- Boil a vesselful of water, add the soda bi-carbonate and the french beans and cook on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes or till the french beans are soft, and stir occasionally and drain the water from it and keep it aside.
- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai, add the onions and fry on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and 1 tbsp of water, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes and stir occasionally.
- Add the french beans, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes, and stir occasionally.
- Switch off the flame and garnish with coconut and sesame seeds and serve it hot with rice or roti.
