Healthy Corn Spinach Pulao Recipe

Corn Spinach Pulao is healthy and tasty rice dish which you can easily prepare at your home. This dish is a one pot meal and has a goodness of spinach and corn. It has a nice color, flavor, and nice texture. This rice dish is perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 cupboiled sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
- 2 cupschopped spinach (palak)
- 2 1/4 cupscooked brown rice( refer the tips below)
- 2 tspoil
- 4black peppercorns (kalimirch)
- 1stick cinnamon (dalchini)
- 2cloves (laung / lavang)
- 4cardamoms (elaichi)
- 1 cupsliced onions
- 1/2 tbspfinely chopped green chilies
- 1/4 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
- saltto taste
Directions
- Heat the oil in a broad, non-stick pan, add the peppercorns, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and onions and fry on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add the green chilies, chopped spinach, corn kernels and turmeric powder, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes and stir occasionally.
- Add the cooked brown rice and salt, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes and stir occasionally and once done, switch off the flame.
- Serve it hot with any raita of your choice.
Tips
- ¾ cup brown rice, when soaked for 2 hours and cooked yields 2 ¼ cups of cooked brown rice.
