Tasty and Yummy Tawa Pulao Recipe

Tawa Pulao is a popular street food of Mumbai. This dish has a wonderful blend of spices and an amazing flavor and taste. It is an easy and simple to make and taste delicious. This dish is perfect when you have a sudden guest at your home. This dish is perfect for a weekend lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
- 3 tbspButter
- 2 tspCumin seeds (jeera)
- 1 1/2 tbspChili-garlic paste
- 1/4 cupFinely chopped onions
- 1/4 cupFinely chopped capsicum
- 1 cupFinely chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 tspTurmeric powder (haldi)
- SaltTo Taste
- 1 tspChili powder
- 2 tspPav bhaji masala
- 2 1/2 cupsCooked rice(chawal)(in a pan add enough water and rice and once done, drain the water and keep it aside.)
- 1/2 cupBoiled green peas
For The Garnish
- 2 tbspFinely Chopped Coriander (dhania)
Directions
- Heat the butter on a large tawa (griddle), add the cumin seeds and when the seeds crackle, add the chili-garlic paste, mix well and fry on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
- And the onions, mix well and fry on a medium flame for another 1 to 2 minutes and add the capsicum, mix it well and fry on a medium flame for 2 more minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes and stir occasionally.
- Add the turmeric powder, salt, chili powder, pav bhaji masala and 1/4 cup of water, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes and stir occasionally.
- Add the cooked rice and boiled green peas, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, and stir occasionally.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot with raita.
