  • 6 tspcooked rice (chawal) or leftover rice (chawal)
  • 1 1/2 tbspoil
  • 1cardamom (elaichi)
  • 1clove (laung / lavang)
  • 1 smallstick cinnamon (dalchini)
  • 1bay leaf (tej patta)
  • 1 tspcumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1/2 cupsliced onions
  • 1/2 tspchili powder
  • 1/4 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
  • 1/2 tspcoriander (dhania) powder
  • 1/4 tspcumin seeds (jeera) powder
