Creamy Beetroot Curry Recipe

Creamy Beetroot Curry is a popular Indian dish that is loved by all. This dish has a nice blend of various seasonings. This dish can be very easily prepared at your home with available ingredients.. This is perfect dish for weekend lunch or dinner. It tastes best with steamed rice.
Ingredients
- 1 tbspvegetable oil
- 2onions, very finely chopped
- 2 tspyellow mustard seed
- 3 tbspMadras curry paste (easily available in the market)
- 1kg(peeled weight) raw beetroot, peeled, halved and thickly sliced
- 1green chili, halved lengthways
- 400gcan chopped tomato
- 3 tbspground almond paste
- 4 tbsplow-fat natural yogurt
Directions
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and onion and fry it for 5 min.
- Then add beetroot, green chili, chopped tomatoes, and 2 cups of water. Cover and cook it for 30 min.
- Then add almond paste, yogurt and madras paste and Switch off the flame and serve it with roti or paratha.
