Tasty Palak Kadhi Recipe

Kadhi is a popular and authentic North Indian dish. It is healthy, light, and extremely tasty. The nutrition value of this dish is high as spinach (palak) is added to it. This dish is perfect for lunch or dinner. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 30-35Spinach leaves
- 1 cupSour Yogurt whisked
- 2 tablespoonsGram flour (besan)
- 2 tablespoonsOil
- 2-3Green chilies
- 1 inchGinger piece
- 7-8Dried button red chilies
- 1 mediumOnion
- 1 teaspoonMustard seeds
- 1 teaspoonCumin seeds
- Saltto taste
- a pinchTurmeric powder
Directions
- In a bowl whisk gram flour and yogurt till smooth and add 2 cups water and whisk it again and cut the onion into small cubes and keep it aside
- In a blender add green chilies, 10-12 spinach leaves, ginger, and a little water make a fine puree.
- Pour this blended palak mixture to the yogurt mixture and mix it well and keep it aside.
- In a deep non-stick pan add oil, add red chilies and fry it nicely and add mustard seeds and cumin seeds and also add onion and fry till the onion softens.
- Add the yogurt-palak mixture, salt, turmeric powder and mix it and cook on medium flame and stir till the gram flour gets cooked and the kadhi thickens.
- Chop remaining spinach leaves and add to the kadhi and cook on a low flame for few minutes.
- Switch off the flame and transfer it to a serving bowl and serve it hot.
Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A, manganese, folate, magnesium, iron, vitamin C, vitamin B2, calcium, potassium, and vitamin B6.
