Prep Time: 15min Cook time: 10min Ingredients: Oil,Tomato,Green Chilli,Tamarind Pulp,Saltto taste,Sugar,Turmeric Powder/Manjal Podi,Coriander Leaves Handful chopped,2-5 cupsWater as Needed, For Grinding: 2 tablespoons gratedCoconut,1 tablespoonWhole Black Pepper,1 tablespoonCumin Seeds/Jeera,1 tablespoonWhole Coriander Seeds/Thania,3-4Dry Red Chili,6large clovesGarlic, For Seasoning: 1 tablespoonOil,1/2 tablespoonMustard Seeds/kaduku,1/2 tablespoonUrad Dal/Ulundu Parupppu,1/2 tablespoonCumin Seeds/Jeerakam,1Dry Red Chilli,1/4 tablespoonAsafoeitda/Hing/Kaya Podi, Instructions: Take the grinding ingredients in the mixer or the blender. Add some water and make a smooth puree and set aside. In kadai, add oil and once it is heated, add tomatoes, green chillies and saute it for 2-3 minutes till the smell of leaves and the tomatoes start breaking down. Add salt, sugar, turmeric powder and tamarind pulp. Mix well. Now add water and mix it well. Add ground masala and mix well. Bring everything to boil. Cook it on low flame for about 5 minutes. For seasoning, heat oil in a pan and add mustard, urad dal and cumin seeds. For sizzling, add chilli and asafoetida and combine it.
