Kesar Malai Peda Recipe
Kesar Malai Peda is an excellent Indian dessert prepared with full cream milk. Try this mithai at home and make holi delightful.
Ingredients
- 1 cupUnsweetened khoya
- ¼ cupSugar
- few strandsSaffron
- 2 tablespoonsHot milk
- ½ teaspoonGhee
- ½ tablespoonSliced pista
Directions
- Soak saffron in hot milk for about 5 minutes
- Microwave them for few seconds and crush them with hand
- Crumble khoya and fry it in a pan till the raw smell disappears from it
- Add sugar and little water to it
- Cook the mixture on low flame for about 2 minutes by stirring it continuously
- Add saffron to it and mix everything well
- Ad cardamom powder to it and off the flame
- Keep it aside and cool it for sometime
- Once the khoya is cool enough to handle, star kneading it to smooth dough
- Add ½ teaspoon of ghee to it so that it does not stick to your hand
- Divide the dough into 12 equal parts and roll between the palms
- Then press them slightly in the centre and decorate with pista slices
- Tasty Kesar Peda is ready to serve.
