Mutton Keema Matar Recipe
Know how to make delicious Matar Keema by just following the simple steps here. Have it as side dish with rice or you can even stuff it in fried bread and have it as breakfast.
Ingredients
- ½ kgMinced mutton
- 2Onions
- 2Tomatoes
- ½ cupGreen peas
- 1 ½ teaspoonGinger garlic paste
- 2Green cardamom
- 1Bay leaf
- 1 inchCinnamon stick
- 3Cloves
- 3Green chilies
- ¼ teaspoonTurmeric powder
- ¼ teaspoonCumin powder
- ½ tablespoonCoriander powder
- 1 teaspoonRed chili powder
- ¼ cupYogurt
- to tasteto taste
- ½ teaspoonGaram masala powder
- 2 tablespoonsCooking oil
- ½ cupCoriander leaves
Directions
- Place a pressure cooker on flame and add oil to it
- Add green cardamom, cinnamon stick, cloves, bay leaf and allow it to sizzle for few seconds
- Add chopped onions and saute them till they become golden brown in color
- Add ginger garlic paste and saute it for about 3 minutes
- Add turmeric powder and mix it well with onion mixture
- Add minced meat and cool it for 10 minutes by stirring it occasionally
- Add chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt to it
- Mix them well and add chopped tomatoes
- Cook for 5 minutes on low flame
- Add cup of water and yogurt to it
- Close the cooker lid and pressure cook it till 3 whistles or until the meat is almost cooked
- Off the heat and let the pressure release from the cooker
- Open the lid and add green peas to it
- On the flame and cook the green peas with minced meat for about 10 minutes
- If you want the dish to be gravy, off the flame when it is in gravy consistency
- If you want it dry, cook it till water evaporates
- Add garam masala powder at the end and off the flame
- Remove it in serving bowl and garnish it with coriander leaves.
Have it with Sambar Rice or you can also have it with any flavored rice.
