Tasty Sweet Corn Biryani Recipe
Try this nutritious and easy Sweet Corn Biryani recipe that tastes yummy with different spices. This pulao is very easy to prepare and tastes really great. Have a look.
Ingredients
- 1 cupCorn
- 2 cupsBasmati rice
- 1Onion
- 2Tomato
- 1 teaspoonGinger garlic paste
- 3Green chili
- 3 tablespoonsOil
- 3 tablespoonsGhee
- 1 cupCoconut milk
- 3 cupsWater
- Saltto taste
- 2 teaspoonsChili powder
- ½ teaspoonTurmeric powder
- ¼ cupCoriander leavesr
- ¼ cupMint leaves
- 1Bay leaf
- 2Cinnamon stick
- 5Cloves
- 3Cardamom
Directions
- Step1Soak basmati rice in water for about 30 minutes
- Step2Drain the water and keep it aside
- Step3Place a pan on flame and add oil to it
- Step4Once the oil is hot, add bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom to it
- Step5Saute them for few seconds
- Step6Add onions and saute them till they turn golden brown in color
- Step7Add chopped chili and ginger garlic paste
- Step8Saute the paste till the raw smell from it goes away
- Step9Add corns and saute them for few minutes
- Step10Add coriander leaves, mint leaves, turmeric powder, chili powder, yogurt or coconut milk and salt to it
- Step11Saute them well till the whole mixture thickens
- Step12Place rice in a pressure cooker and add 3 cups of water to it
- Step13Add the gravy to the cooker and mix them well
- Step14Check for salt and add coriander leaves to it
- Step15Close the lid and pressure cook till the rice becomes tender
- Step16Off the flame and wait till the pressure from the cooker gets released.
The hot Biryani with Corn is ready to eat. Serve it hot with Tomato Onion Raita or have it directly without any side dish.
