Karnataka special mysore bonda Recipe
Mysore Bonda is the most popular snacks originated from Mysore. These are prepared from urad dal or black gram that turns out to be crispy after frying them in oil. Have it with fresh coconut chutney.
Ingredients
- ½ cupUrad dal
- 1 ½ tablespoonRice flour
- ½ teaspoonCrushed black pepper
- 1Green chili
- ½ inchGinger chopped
- 2 teaspoonsGrated coconut
- 10 leavesCurry leaves
- Saltto taste
- Water
- Oil
Directions
- Wash urad dal and soak it in water for about 6 hours
- Drain the water and place it in a grinder
- Add very little water and grind it to a smooth paste
- Remove batter to a bowl
- Add rice flour, black pepper, chopped ginger, chopped green chili, grated coconut, chopped green leaves, salt to it and mix it well
- Place a deep pan on flame and add oil for deep frying
- Shape the batter to round shapes with your palms and place it in hot oil
- Continue the process with the remaining batter
- Fry them on medium flame till they turn crisp and golden brown in color
- Remove them from oil and drain them on kitchen towels
- Serve it hot with fresh Coconut Chutney
These are definitely a delightful tea-time snacks for your guest.
