Karnataka special mysore bonda Recipe
Mysore Bonda is the most popular snacks originated from Mysore. These are prepared from urad dal or black gram that turns out to be crispy after frying them in oil. Have it with fresh coconut chutney.
Ingredients
- ½ cupUrad dal
- 1 ½ tablespoonRice flour
- ½ teaspoonCrushed black pepper
- 1Green chili
- ½ inchGinger chopped
- 2 teaspoonsGrated coconut
- 10 leavesCurry leaves
- Saltto taste
- Water
- Oil
Directions
- Step1Wash urad dal and soak it in water for about 6 hours
- Step2Drain the water and place it in a grinder
- Step3Add very little water and grind it to a smooth paste
- Step4Remove batter to a bowl
- Step5Add rice flour, black pepper, chopped ginger, chopped green chili, grated coconut, chopped green leaves, salt to it and mix it well
- Step6Place a deep pan on flame and add oil for deep frying
- Step7Shape the batter to round shapes with your palms and place it in hot oil
- Step8Continue the process with the remaining batter
- Step9Fry them on medium flame till they turn crisp and golden brown in color
- Step10Remove them from oil and drain them on kitchen towels
- Step11Serve it hot with fresh Coconut Chutney
These are definitely a delightful tea-time snacks for your guest.
