Tasty Chana Dal Chutney for Idli
Chana Dal Chutney called under different names as Senagapappu Chutney or Pottukadalai Chutney is a different recipe that tastes good with idli or dosa. It is simple and easy to prepare for your breakfast. Have a quick look and prepare the chutney for your family members.
Ingredients
- 5 tablespoonsRoasted chana dal
- 2 tablespoonsGrated coconut
- 1Garlic
- 2Green chilies
- 4 tablespoonsWater
- ½ teaspoonsOil
- ¼ teaspoonMustard seeds
- ¼ teaspoonCumin seeds
- ½ teaspoonChana dal
- 5 leavesCurry leaves
Directions
- Step1Place chana dal, grated coconut, green chili, garlic, salt in a blender
- Step2Add 4 tablespoons of water and blend it to smooth paste
- Step3Remove the chutney to a small bowl
- Step4Place a pan on flame and add oil to it
- Step5Once the oil is heat, add mustard seeds and let them crackle for few seconds
- Step6Add cumin seeds and chana dal
- Step7Fry them till chana dal turns golden brown in color
- Step8Pour the tampering to the ground chutney and serve it with Oats Idli or with Onion Rava Dosa.
