Sri Ramanavami Special Palathaliklau Recipe
Pala Thalikalu is a sweet dish that is prepared with whole wheat flour, sugar, milk, jaggery and cardamom. It is one of the special recipes for many occasions like Vinayaka Chavithi, Pongal, etc.
Ingredients
- 4 cupsMilk
- ½ cup + 1 teaspoonsRice flour
- ½ cupSugar
- ¼ cupGrated coconut
- ½ teaspoonCardamom powder
- Ghee
- 5Cashews
- 5Raisins
Directions
- Step1Take a wide bowl and add rice flour along with ghee to it
- Step2Add boiled water little by little to the rice flour and mix it well and make a smooth dough
- Step3Cover it slightly with a plate and let it cool for a couple of minutes
- Step4Grease your hands with ghee and divide the dough into small portions
- Step5Shape them into long strips
- Step6Take a wide vessel and add milk to it
- Step7Bring it to boil and add sugar along with cardamom powder
- Step8Allow it to boil for few minutes
- Step9Add dough strips to the milk and cook for 12 to 15 minutes
- Step10Add little bit of water to the rice flour and keep it aside
- Step11Add grated coconut and diluted rice flour to the milk and cook for 3 more minutes
- Step12Off the flame and present it god with cashew nuts along with raisins at the top as naivedyam for Sri Ramanavami.
Vada Pappu Panakam is also the first best special naivedyam for god Rama. Serve it along with palathalikalu for God Rama and Sita.
