Healthy Carrot Moong Dal Recipe
Carrot Moong Dal Recipe is a dry textured South Indian Recipe that is prepared with carrot and moong dal. Add grated coconut to make the dish tastier. Have a look at the recipe.
Ingredients
- ¼ cupSplit moong dal
- 2 cupsShredded carrot
- 2 teaspoonsOil
- ½ teaspoonCumin seeds
- ¼ cupCoconut shredded
- 2 tablespoonsCilantro
- Saltto taste
- ¼ teaspoonBlack pepper
- ¼ teaspoonSugar
Directions
- Wash moong dal and soak it in water for a about 2 hours
- Drain the water
- Take a bowl and add lemon juice, salt, black pepper, sugar and mix them well. Keep it aside
- Place a pan on flame and add oil to it
- Add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter
- Add moon gal and Fry them for about 4 minutes
- Turn off the flame and remove the moong dal to a plate
- Place the pan on flame again and add shredded carrot to it
- Fry for about 2 minutes and add shredded coconut, cilantro
- Fry them for 3 minutes and add fried moong dal
- Mix them well and fry for one more minute
- The tasty Moon Dal Carrot Fry is ready to serve.
