Ingredients
- 3 slicesWhite bread
- 3 tablespoonsSemolina
- 3 tablespoonsAll purpose flour
- ¼ cupYogurt
- 1 teaspoonSalt
- ¼ teaspoonCumin seeds
- 2Chilies
- ¼ cupTomatoes
- 2 teaspoonsGinger
- 2 tablespoonsCilantro
- 1 ½ tablespoonOil
Directions
- Cut the bread into small pieces and place the pieces in blender
- Add sooji, all purpose flour, salt, yogurt, water to it
- Blend them together into a smooth paste
- Remove the batter in a bowl and add cumin seeds, chopped tomatoes, chopped green chilies, chopped cilantro
- Mix them well and add more water if required. Remember that batter is not too thick or too thin
- Place a pan on high flame and grease it with oil
- Pour 2 spoons of batter on the pan and spread it in a round shape
- Pour little oil around the uttapam and cook for 2 minutes
- Flip it to the other side when the uttapam turn to the golden brown in color
- Fry the other side for about 2 minutes
- It takes 4 to 5 minutes to cook uttapam on low flame
- Remove it from the pan and place it on a serving plate. Serve it with Tasty Carrot Chutney
