Red Velvet Cake Recipe

Ingredients
- ½ cupButter
- 3 tablespoonsCocoa powder
- 1 ½ cupSugar
- 2Eggs
- 2 teaspoonsVanilla
- 2 teaspoonsRed food coloring
- 1 teaspoonSalt
- 1 teaspoonBaking soda
- 2 ½ cupsFlour
- 1 cupWhole buttermilk
- 1 tablespoonVinegar
Directions
- Butter 9 inch cake pan lightly and sprinkle it with 1 tablespoon of sifted cocoa powder on the pan
- Take a mixing bowl and cream butter along with sugar
- Add one egg at a time and beat all the three ingredients vigorously
- Add vanilla to it
- Take a separate bowl and add 2 teaspoons of food coloring to 2 tablespoons of cocoa
- Mix them together. Add the dry ingredients and mix them with buttermilk
- Mix vinegar before and blend the mixture perfectly
- Divide the batter in three pans and bake them for 20 minutes under 350 degrees F
- Cool it on a rack and remove the cake from pan
- Drop 1 cup of icing on to cake using a flat spatula
- Remove the second cake and use the remaining frosting to cover the top and sides of the cake
- Tasty and wonderful Valentine’s Day Cake is ready to serve to your partner.
