Godhuma (Wheat) Rava Pongal Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cupWheat Rava
- 1.5 cupsJaggery
- ¼ cupChana Dal
- 3 cupsWater
- 1 cupMilk
- ½ teaspoonCardamom powder
- 1 tablespoonDry coconut slices
- 10Cashews
- 10Raisins
- 3 tablespoonGhee
Directions
- Step1Wash chana dal and wheat rava. Cook it in pressure cooker with 3 cups of water till 4 whistles
- Step2Off the flame and take time so that the pressure from the cooker get released by itself
- Step3Add milk along with cardamom powder to the cooked chana dal and wheat rava
- Step4Combine them together and cook it on low flame for about 3 minutes
- Step5Off the flame and add powdered jaggery to the cooked wheat mixture
- Step6Mix them well and cover the lid for 5 minutes
- Step7Mix again till jaggery melts
- Step8Place a pan on low flame and add ghee to it
- Step9Fry the dry coconut slices, cashews and raisins till they become golden brown color
- Step10Add the fried pieces to the rava mixture and mix them well
- Step11Take it in a clean bowl and serve it to god on the occasion of Pongal.
