Indian Dussehra Badam Halwa Recipe
Badam Halwa also called as Almond Halwa is usually one among the famous recipes that is usually prepared during festivals like Diwali, Holi, Rakhi and other special occasion. It is considered as a sinfully delicious Indian Sweet Recipes. Try it at home for any festivals.
Ingredients
- 1 cupAlmonds
- ½ cupGhee
- ¾ cupMilk
- 1 tablespoonWheat flour
- ¾ cupSugar
- few strandsSaffron
- ½ teaspoonCardamom
Directions
- Soak almonds in water for about 8 hours
- Drain the water and de-skin the almonds.
- Place them in a blender and blend them to a coarse paste. Do not use any water or milk
- Place a non stick pan on low flame and add ghee to it
- Add almond mixture and mix them well
- Cook on low flame for about 5 minutes and make sure to stir continuously
- Add milk along with water and mix them well
- Cook it on medium flame for about 2 minutes by stirring it continuously
- Add sugar to it and mix well
- Add saffron and cook for 1 more minute
- Off the flame and add cardamom powder at the end
- Remove it in a serving bowl and serve it hot
Place it in an airtight container if you want to have it for more days.
