Restaurant Style Palak Paneer Recipe
Palak Paneer Recipe is one among the famous North Indian Recipe. Follow the step by step process and have the dish in North Indian style.
Ingredients
- 250gmsFresh palak
- 2Green chilies
- 2Garlic cloves
- ½ inchGinger
- Water
- 2Onion
- 1Tomato
- 4Garlic cloves
- ½ teaspoonCumin seeds
- ¼ teaspoonTurmeric powder
- ½ teaspoonRed chili powder
- ¼ teaspoonGaram masala powder
- 1Bay leaf
- 250gmsPaneer
- 2 tablespoonsCream
- 1 tablespoonOil
- 2Kasuri methi
- Saltto taste
Directions
- Rinse palak leaves well with water. Discard the tender stems and boil it with 3 cups of water in a pan
- Add ½ tablespoon of salt to hot water and stir it well
- Off the flame and close the lid
- Let the leaves sit in hot water for about 3 minutes and strain the leaves
- Transfer the leaves to a bowl that contain ice cold water as it helps to preserve the green color of the spinach
- Allow spinach leaves to be in cold water for a minute. Drain cold water and place the spinach in a blender or grinder jar
- Blend the leaves along with chopped ginger, garlic and green chilies
- Make them into smooth paste. Do not add water while making puree
- Place a pan on low flame and add oil to it
- Add cumin seeds and let them splutter
- Add bay leaf and finely chopped onions
- Saute them well till onions become golden brown in color
- Add finely chopped garlic cloves and saute till aroma of garlic goes away
- Add chopped tomatoes to it and stir them well till they become soft
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder and stir well
- Then add palak puree to it and stir well
- Add ½ cup of water and stir the mixture well
- Cook the mixture on low flame till palak cooks well
- Add paneer cubes to it and enough salt
- Add garam masala powder and stir them gently
- Cook the paneer mixture on low flame till the cubes become soft for about 3 minutes
- Add cream at the end and switch off the flame
The tasty and healthy Paneer with Palak is ready to serve. Serve it with some rotis or jeera rice. You can top the paneer with some butter before serving. Add few drops of lime or lemon juice on top of it.
