South Indian Special Sweet Corn Vada Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cupCorn
- 1 cupChana Dal
- ½ cupOnions
- 1 inchGinger
- 1Green chilies
- Saltto taste
- ½ teaspoonTurmeric powder
- ½ teaspoonCumin seeds
- 5 leavesCurry leaves
- Oilfor frying
Directions
- Soak chana dal in water for atleast 3 hours. Drain the water and grind it into paste
- Add corns to this and grind it coarsely
- Add onions, green chilies, ginger piece, cumin seeds, turmeric, curry leaves and salt to it
- Make balls with the above mixture and make them is shape of vadas or cutlets
- Take a pan and add oil to fry the cutlets
- Place 3 cutlets at a time and fry them till they turn golden brown
- Add the remaining cutlets and fry them till they become crispy and brown in color
- Place them on a tissue cloth to remove excess oil from vadas
- Transfer them to a serving plate and serve it along with tomato chutney.
