Bengali Mutton Curry Recipe
Try out this Spicy Bengali Mutton Curry called as Kosha Mangsho. It is an traditional bengali goat meat recipe that is marinated using yogurt and slow cooked with different spices.
Ingredients
- 500gmsMutton Pieces
- ¼ cupMustard oil
- 3Cloves
- 2Green cardamoms
- 1 cup slicedOnions
- 1 tablespoonGinger garlic paste
- 2 tablespoonsChili powder
- ½ tablespoonsTurmeric powder
- 1 tablespoonCumin seeds
- 500gmsCurd
- Salt to taste
Directions
- Place pan on heat and add oil to it
- Once the oil is heat, add cardamom and cinnamon
- Add chopped onions and saute it till they turn soft
- Add ginger garlic paste and saute it for 3 to 5 minutes
- Add chili powder, turmeric powder and stir them well
- Add meat pieces and fry them on high flame
- Stir them for about 10 minutes and lower the heat
- Saute the meat pieces till fat separates from meat
- Add cloves and cover the pan tight
- Cook it under low heat by stirring it every 2 minutes till it is cooked
- Add little bit curd at the end and off the flame
- The spicy and easy mutton curry is ready to serve.
Serve it hot with roti or even with rice. Eat the mutton pieces with tasty Mango Rasam in rice as it tastes excellent with rasam. Make sure to marinate the mutton pieces by adding turmeric, salt, chilie powder and curd for about 1 hour before you start cooking.
