Hyderabadi Dum Ka Murgh Recipe
Dum ka Chicken is Hyderabadi Special Chicken Recipe that is marinated with spices and yogurt for about 3 hours. This tasty recipe cooked in Hyderabadi Dum process and it used to prepare in Hyderabadi’s Nawab’s kitchen. Let’s have a look and know how to prepare Yummy Dum Chicken Curry.
Ingredients
- ¼ teaspoonShahi jeera
- 1 teaspoonGinger garlic paste
- 1 tablespoonGreen chilly paste
- 1 cupYogurt
- 6 piecesAlmonds
- 2 tablespoonsGrated coconut
- 3Potatoes
- 1 tablespoonChironji
- ½ tablespoon Poppy seeds
- 1 tablespoonLime juice
- 1 KGChicken
- Salt to taste
- ½ cup choppedMint
- Oil forcooking
Directions
- Roast the poppy seeds and place them in blender
- Make powder using the blender
- Take a pan and place it in low flame
- Add chironji, almonds, coconut powder and roast them well for about 1 minute
- Add these ingredients to the poppy seeds powder and blend them using blender
- Mix water and make them into smooth paste
- Take a pressure cooker and add chicken pieces, yogurt, potatoes, green chilly paste, garam masala powder, ginger garlic paste, white pepper powder, mint leaves, fried onions, lime juice, salt, chili powder, poppy seeds paste and finally oil
- Mix then well and close the lid of the cooker
- Let it cook for about 40 minutes on low flame
- Off the flame and remove it in a serving bowl
The tasty and Spicy Chicken Curry is ready to serve. Serve it with roti, naan or rice. As you cook the chicken in an airtight container with lots of spices and as it is a slow cooking process, the chicken cooks perfectly inside. The spices smell when you open the pressure cooker lid, makes your mouth watering.
