Yummy Chettinad Pepper Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 lbsChicken pieces
- ½ tablespoonGaram masalas
- for temperingMustard seeds
- 2 strandsCurry leaves
- 1 cupOnions
- 2Green chilie
- 1 tablespoonChili powder
- 1 tablespoonCrushed peppercorns
- 2Tomatoes
- 2 tablespoonCoriander powder
- 1 tablespoonCumin powder
- 1 tablespoonGinger garlic paste
- ½ cupCoriander leaves
Directions
- Take a deep frying pan and add oil to it
- Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Saute them for 1 minute
- After they splutter, add whole garam masalas like cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf
- Add chopped onions and saute them to golden brown color
- Add salt, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, green chilies and curry leaves to the onions
- Fry them for 5 to 8 minutes and add tomatoes
- Saute until it becomes a gravy
- Add chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder to the onion tomato mixture
- Saute them for 10 minutes on low flame till oil come out from the onion mixture
- Add chicken pieces and fry them for 10 minutes by stirring them in middle
- After the chicken pieces are fried add water to it and cover with lid
- Cook it for about 15 minutes and add crushed pepper powder
- Adjust the salt if required and off the flame
- Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and remove it into serving bowl.
Add capsicum pieces if required after tomatoes. Try this gorgeous pepper chicken on one Sunday night for dinner and for sure, your family members say its wow. Having organic chicken is an excellent way of minimizing the risk of exposure to antibiotics.
