Indian Kobbari Boorelu Recipe
Kobbari Boorelu is one among many traditional dishes is cooked for some festivals like Sankranthi and Dassehra in Andhra. It is prepared with fresh coconut, rice flour and jiggery. This recipe is considered as one of the most auspicious dish and is considered as naivedhayam for god. Let’s have a look at the recipe.
Ingredients
- 500gmsRice Flour
- 350gmsJaggery
- ½ cupGrated coconut
- 1 tablespoonCardamom powder
- 1 tablespoonGhee
- Oilto frying
Directions
- To prepare the recipe with homemade rice flour, soak the rice over night
- Strain water and dry it for 2 hours. Then blend into very soft powder
- Take a bowl and add jiggery to it. Add little water and boil for 10 minutes
- Prepare the jiggery syrup to 1 string consistency
- Add grated coconut to jiggery mixture and cook for 5 more minutes
- When the jiggery syrup is placed in water, it should form a ball consistency
- Off the flame. Take a bowl and add jiggery mixture, rice flour, cardamom powder, ghee to it
- Mix them well till they form a nice dough
- Divide the mixture into small balls and place one ball on a polythene paper
- Press it with hands and form a round shape
- Take a pan and heat oil init
- Deep fry the burelu in oil and transfer them into a paper towel.
