Gujarati Style Raw Papaya Chutney Recipe

Raw Papaya Chutney is a traditional Gujarat chutney made from raw papaya and served as a side dish along with the main course. This dish has a nice taste of various seasoning and this dish taste has a nice taste of raw papaya. This dish can be also accompanied with any snack dish. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 cupThickly grated raw papaya
- 1 tbspOil
- 1 tspMustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
- a pinchof asafoetida (hing)
- 8Green chilies, slit
- 6Curry leaves (kadi patta)
- 1/4 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
- 1 tbspbesan (gram flour)
- Saltto taste
Directions
- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan, add the mustard seeds and asafoetida and fry on medium flame for 30 seconds.
- Add the green chilies, curry leaves and turmeric powder and fry on medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add the raw papaya, besan and salt, mix it well and cook on medium flame for 6 minutes and stir occasionally.
- Once done, transfer it on a serving bowl and serve it any hot samosas and relish a hearty meal.
