Tasty Cabbage and Green Pea Sabzi Recipe

Cabbage and Green Pea Sabzi is a popular Indian household dish that you can easily made at your home. This dish is perfect when you have a sudden guest at your home. The addition of different spices, gives dish a nice flavor and taste. It is perfect for a weekend lunch and dinner and it is a perfect dish for vegetarian. This dish tastes best with any Indian flat bread. Let’s follow this tasty curry (sabzi) recipe.
Ingredients
- 3 cupsshredded cabbage
- 1 cupgreen peas
- 1 tbspoil
- 1/2 tspmustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
- 1/4 tspasafoetida (hing)
- 1/4 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
- saltto taste
- 1 tspcoriander (dhania) seeds powder
- 1 tspchili powder
Directions
- Heat the oil in broad non-stick pan and add the mustard seeds and when the seeds crackle, add the asafoetida , turmeric powder, cabbage, green peas and salt, mix it well.
- Cover it with a lid and cook on high flame for 8 to 10 minutes or till the cabbage are tender and stir occasionally.
- Add the coriander seeds powder and chili powder and mix it well and cook on a low flame for more 2 to 3 minutes and stir once in between.
- Once done, switch off the flame and serve it hot with rice or roti.
