Green Pea and Spinach Rice is a flavorful and colorful looking rice dish which is a perfect dish for your weekend dinner. This dish has a nice flavor and also has a nice aroma. This dish can be very easily prepared at your home within few minutes. This dish perfect when you have a sudden guest at your home. Let’s follow this easy and tasty rice recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 cupsshredded spinach (palak)
- 1/2 cupboiled green peas
- 3 cupscooked rice (chawal)
- 1 tbspghee
- 1/2 cupthinly sliced onions
- 2 tspfinely chopped green chilies
- salt Sugar
To Be Ground Into A Smooth Paste
- 1 cupfinely chopped coriander (dhania)
- 1/2 tbspgrated fresh coconut
- 3 greenchilies , roughly chopped
- 1/2 tbsplemon juice
- 1/2 tspsugar
- Saltto taste
Directions
- In a blender, add chopped coriander leaves, grated fresh coconut, green chilies, lemon juice, sugar, and salt and also add a little water and blend to a smooth paste and keep it aside
- Heat the ghee in a broad non-stick pan, add the onions and fry on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add the green chilies and spinach and fry on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Add the blended paste, rice, green peas and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes and once done, switch off the flame and serve it hot with any raita of your choice.
