Mixed Vegetable Cheese Frankie Recipe
Mixed Vegetable Cheese Frankie is tasty, mouth-watering dish which you can easily prepare for your kid’s. This Frankie has the goodness of various vegetables. Ingredients
For The Mixed Vegetable Patty
- 1 cupboiled and mashed potatoes
- 1/4 cupfinely chopped capsicum
- 1/2 cupgrated carrot
- 1/2 cupgrated cabbage
- 1/4 tspcumin seeds (jeera) powder
- 1/2 tspcoriander (dhania) powder
- 1/2 tspgarlic (lehsun) paste
- 1/2 tspginger (adrak) paste
- 1/4 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
- 1/2 tspchili powder
- 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander (dhania)
- saltto taste
- 2 tbspof oil for cooking
For The Roti
- 1 cupplain flour (maida)
- 1/2 tspbaking powder
- saltto taste
- 3 tspof oil for cooking
To Be Mixed Together To A Plain Flour-water Mixture
- 1/2 cupplain flour (maida)
- 1/4 tspsalt
- 1/2 cupwater
Other Ingredients
- 6 tspschezuan sauce (easily available in the market)
- 12 tbspsliced onions
- 12 tbspgrated processed cheese
- 1 1/2 tspchaat masala
Directions
For the mixed vegetable patty
- In a bowl, add mashed potatoes, chopped capsicum, grated carrot, cabbage, cumin seeds, coriander powder, garlic paste, ginger paste, turmeric powder, chili powder, chopped coriander leaves, salt and mix it nicely.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion of the mixture into a 125 mm. ( 5”) cylindrical roll and flatten it between your palms.
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a non-stick tawa (griddle), dip 3 patty into the prepared plain flour-water mixture and place them on the tawa (griddle) and cook on a medium flame till it turns golden brown in color from both the sides.
- Transfer it on a plate and keep it aside.
For the roti
- In a deep bowl, add plain flour, baking powder, salt, and ¾ cup of water, mix it well with a help of a whisk.
- Heat a non-stick tawa (griddle), pour a ladleful of the batter and spread it in a circular motion to make a 200mm. ( 8”) diameter circle.
- Drizzle ½ tsp of oil and cook on a medium fame till it turns brown in color from both the sides and once done, place the roti on a plate and keep it aside.
How to proceed
- Place a roti on a clean, dry surface, apply1 tsp of the schezuan sauce and spread it evenly.
- Place a mixed vegetable patty on one side of the roti and put 2 tbsp of sliced onions evenly over it.
- Sprinkle 2 tbsp of cheese and ¼ tsp of chaat masala evenly over it.
- Roll it up tightly from one end to the other and place it in a plate and serve it with fresh salad.
