Tasty Cashew Chikki Cashew Crackers Recipe
Til Chikki Recipe (Healthy Sesame Crackers)is a popular Indian sweet snack that is loved by all. This chikki is extremely easy to prepare, you can make this simple recipe on any festivals and treat your loved once. Try this cashew chikki recipe for your kids and they will love it.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cupsSugar
- 1 1/2 cupsCashew nut, halves
Directions
- Heat an aluminum kadhai on a high flame and add the sugar and cook on a high flame for 3 minutes and stir continuously with a perforated spoon.
- Cook it for 2 minute on a low flame and stir continuously with the perforated spoon and once done switch off the flame and add the cashew nuts and mix it well.
- Pour the mixture on a greased platform and while it is hot turn it upside down twice with the help of a flat ladle.
- Pat it evenly on all the sides with greased hands to flatten the mixture and roll the mixture into a 275 mm. (11”) diameter circle with a greased rolling pin and frequently turn the rolled mixture upside down and change the sides with a help of a flat ladle ,scrape the sides to avoid the mixture sticking to the platform.
- Immediately cut it into equal sized square pieces with the help of a sharp knife and keep it aside to cool for 15 minutes.
- Serve it or immediately store in an airtight container and enjoy whenever you want to.
Tips
- Before you start making the chikki,grease the platform and rolling pin with oil and also keep the required tools like perforated ladle, flat ladle and knife.
- Even a slight delay in mixing or rolling the mixture, might make the chikki hard or chewy, so be well prepared with all requirements before hand.
