Chickpea Potato and Soya Tikki Recipe

Chickpea, Potato, and Soya Tikki are tasty, easy, and lip-smacking snack that you can easily prepare at your home with easily available ingredients. This tikki has a nice flavor, texture, and taste. Ingredients
- 1 tspgarlic (lehsun) paste
- 1 cupsoaked and boiled kabuli chana (white chick peas)
- 3/4 cupboiled, peeled and mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cupsoya granules
- 1/4 cupfinely chopped onions
- 1/4 cupfinely chopped mint leaves (phudina)
- 1 1/2 tspgreen chili paste
- 1 tsplemon juice
- saltto taste
Other Ingredients
- 1/2 cupplain flour (maida)
- breadcrumbs for rolling
- oilfor deep-frying
Directions
- In a bowl, add plain flour and ¾ cup of water and whisk well till no lumps remain and keep it aside.
- In a bowl, add,soya granules and enough hot water in a deep bowl and soak for 10 minutes and after 10 min, drain the water from the soya granules and squeeze all the water.
- In a blender, add kabuli chana, soya granules and mint leaves and blend to a coarse paste and transfer the mixture into a deep bowl.
- Add onion, potatoes, green chilies, lemon juice, and salt and mix it well.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and roll each portion into a 50 mm. (2”) diameter round tikki.
- Dip each tikki in the maida-water mixture and roll in the bread crumbs till they are evenly coated from all the sides.
- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and deep-fry, a few tikkis at a time and fry till it turns golden brown in color from all the sides.
- Drain on an absorbent paper and serve it with green chutney.
