Tomato and Baked Beans Soup Recipe

Tomato and Baked Beans Soup is a healthy and wholesome soup recipe that you can easily prepare at your home with easily available ingredients. This soup has a nice combination of tomatoes and baked beans. It is a prefect soup for growing kid’s and women. You can have this soup as an appetizer before any meal. Try this soup at your home and relish its mouth-watering flavors and awesome taste.
Ingredients
- 1 cupcanned baked beans (easily available in the market)
- 6 cupsroughly chopped tomatoes
- 1 tbspoil
- 1/2 cupfinely chopped onions
- 1 cupfinely chopped capsicum
- 1/2 cupfinely chopped spring onions whites and greens
- 1/2 cupfinely chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cupwhite sauce
- 1 tbspsugar
- 1 tspchili sauce
- saltto taste
For the white sauce
- 2 tbspbutter
- 2 tbspplain flour (maida)
- 2 cupsmilk
- saltto taste
- 1/2 tspfreshly ground black pepper (kalimirch)
For The Garnish
- 2 tbspgrated processed cheese
Directions
For the white sauce
- Heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan, add the plain flour and cook on a slow flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
- Add the milk, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes, or till the sauce thickens and stir continuously.
- Add the salt and pepper, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 1 more minute and keep it aside for later use.
How to Proceed
- In a deep pan, add tomatoes, 4 cups of water and cook on a medium flame for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Switch off the flame and allow the mixture to cool completely and blend the mixture till smooth and then strain it and keep it aside.
- Heat the oil in a deep pan, add the onions and fry on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add the capsicum and spring onion whites and greens and fry on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add the prepared tomato mixture and boil for 2 to 3 minutes and stir occasionally.
- Add the tomatoes, baked beans, white sauce, sugar, chili sauce and salt , mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes and stir occasionally.
- Garnish with cheese and serve it hot.
