Easy Raw Papaya and Cabbage Stir Fry Recipe

Raw Papaya and Cabbage Stir Fry is a popular Indian stir fry dish. This dish is very easy and quick to make and it is also very colorful and tempting. This dish has a nice crunch of cabbage and it also a prefect dish for diabetic patients. This is a prefect dish on a busy day. This dish tastes best with any meal. Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cupsthickly grated raw papaya
- 1 cupshredded cabbage
- 2 tspoil
- 1/2 tspmustard seeds (rai / sarson)
- 2 pinchesasafoetida (hing)
- 1green chili, slit
- 1/2 cupthinly sliced capsicum
- 1/4 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
- saltto taste
- 1/2 tsplemon juice
For The Garnish
- 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander (dhania)
Directions
- Heat the oil in a broad, non-stick pan and add the mustard seeds and when the seeds crackle, add the asafoetida and green chili and fry on a medium flame for a few seconds.
- Add the grated raw papaya, shredded cabbage, capsicum, turmeric powder and salt and fry on a high flame for 2 minutes.
- Add the lemon juice and mix it well and switch off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot with steamed rice.
