Easy Spinach and Green Pea Pulao Recipe

Spinach and Green Pea Pulao is a quick, nutritious rice dish. This dish is cooked with rice, spinach, and green pea. The addition of the different spices makes this dish more flavorful and tempting. This pulao is prefect when you have a sudden guest at your home. This pulao can be served as a one pot meal for a weekend lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 cupsshredded spinach (palak)
- 1/2 cupboiled green peas
- 3 cupscooked rice (chawal) (in a pan, add water and rice and cook till the rice is 90% cooked)
- 1 tbspghee
- 1/2 cupthinly sliced onions
- 2 tspfinely chopped green chilies
- saltto taste
To Be Ground Into A Smooth Paste
- 1 cupfinely chopped coriander (dhania)
- 1/2 tbspgrated fresh coconut
- 3green chilies , roughly chopped
- 1/2 tbsplemon juice
- 1/2 tspsugar
- saltto taste
Directions
- In a blender, add chopped coriander, grated fresh coconut, green chilies, lemon juice, sugar, salt, and a little water and blend to a smooth paste and keep it aside.
- Heat the ghee in a broad non-stick pan, add the onions and fry on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add the green chilies and spinach and fry on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Add the blended paste, cooked rice, green peas and salt, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes and stir occasionally.
- Once done, switch of the flame and serve it hot with any raita of your choice.
