Tasty and Easy Moong Dal and Paneer Tikki Recipe

Easy Moong Dal and Paneer Tikki is lip-smacking and mouth-watering tikki that is a prefect snack dish for your kid’s. The various seasoning , gives a nice texture, flavor, and taste to the tikki. This tikki is prefect snack for any parties and tastes best with a cup of tea. Let’s follow this easy and tasty recipe.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cupyellow moong dal (split yellow gram), soaked for 30 minutes and drained
- 1/2 cuplow-fat crumbled paneer
- 1/4 cupragi (nachni / red millet) flour
- 2 tbspgrated onions
- 1 tspchili powder
- 1/4 tspgaram masala
- 1/4 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
- 1/2 tspginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
- 2 tspchaat masala
- 2 tbspchopped coriander (dhania)
- saltto taste
Other Ingredients
- 1 tspoil for greasing and cooking
Directions
- In a non-stick pan, add the yellow moong dal, 2 cups of water and salt and cover it with a lid and cook on a low flame for 7 to 8 minutes and stir occasionally.
- Switch off the flame and drain the water from it and transfer the cooked moong dal on a plate.
- Then add paneer, grated onion, ragi, garam masala, chili powder, turmeric powder, ginger and garlic paste, salt, chaat masala and mix it nicely.
- Divide the mixture into 10 equal portions and shape each portion into a 50 mm. (2”) diameter flat round tikki.
- Heat a non-stick tawa (griddle) and grease it with ¼ tsp of oil and cook the tikkis on a low flame with ¾ tsp of oil and fry till they turn brown in color from both the sides.
- Serve it with green chutney and a cup of hot tea.
