Switch off the flame and drain the water from it and transfer the cooked moong dal on a plate. Then add paneer, grated onion, ragi, garam masala, chili powder, turmeric powder, ginger and garlic paste, salt, chaat masala and mix it nicely. Divide the mixture into 10 equal portions and shape each portion into a 50 mm. (2”) diameter flat round tikki. Heat a non-stick tawa (griddle) and grease it with ¼ tsp of oil and cook the tikkis on a low flame with ¾ tsp of oil and fry till they turn brown in color from both the sides. Ingredients

  • 1/2 cupyellow moong dal (split yellow gram), soaked for 30 minutes and drained
