Methi Palak Paneer Sabzi Recipe

Methi Palak Paneer Sabzi is a most popular dish in North India. Iron rich, spinach, vitamin rich, methi, and protein rich paneer this makes a delicious main course dish. This dish is very easy to prepare and prefect on a busy day.This dish has a nice delectable blend of spices. It tastes best with any flat bread.
Ingredients
- 1 cupfinely chopped fenugreek (methi)
- 1 cupfinely chopped spinach (palak)
- 1 cupfresh paneer (cottage cheese) cubes
- 7 tspoil
- 3/4 cupfinely chopped onions
- 1/2 cupfinely chopped tomatoes
- 1/2 tspfinely chopped green chilies
- 1/4 tspturmeric powder (haldi)
- 1/2 tspchili powder
- saltto taste
- 1/4 tspsugar
Directions
- Heat 6 tsp of oil on a non-stick tawa (griddle), add the paneer pieces and cook on a high flame for 4 to 5 minutes or till they turn light pink in color and transfer it on a plate and keep it aside.
- In a non-stick tawa (griddle), add 1 tsp of oil, add the onions and fry on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, green chilies and 2 tbsp of water, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes and stir continuously.
- Add the turmeric powder, chili powder, fenugreek leaves, spinach, salt and sprinkle 2 tbsp of water, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes and stir occasionally.
- Add the sauteed paneer and sugar, mix it lightly and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Once done, switch off the flame and serve it hot with roti or paratha.
