Healthy and Tasty Oats and Rajma Cutlet Recipe

Red Beans and Oats Cutlet is a healthy, nutritious snack that is delicately flavored with various seasonings. It is very simple to prepare and also has a nice textured and delicious flavor. This cutlet is also colorful and attractive and also loved by kid’s. This cutlet can be served as a tea time snack and also can be served in any parties as a starter snack dish.
Ingredients
- 1 cupRajma (Large Kidney Beans), soaked and pressure cooked
- 1 cupPaneer (Homemade Cottage Cheese), crumbled
- 80 gramsSaffola Masala Oats/ Rolled Oats ( easily available at the market)
- 2Green Chilies, finely chopped
- 1 inchGinger, grated
- 3cloves Garlic, grated
- 1/2 teaspoonGaram masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoonFennel seeds (Saunf), powdered
- 4Coriander leaves (Dhania), finely chopped
- saltto taste
- as requiredCooking oil
- 2Egg whites, whisked
- 1 cupBread crumbs, for coating (extra)
Directions
- In a bowl, add the egg white and mix it nicely and in a plate spread oat and keep it aside.
- In a bowl, soak the rajma in enough water for 8 hours and then transfer the rajma along with salt in the pressure cooker and cook till it is very soft and once cooked, drain the excess water from the rajma and keep it aside
- In a bowl, add the rajma and mash it well using a potato masher and then add the paneer, oats and ginger, garlic, gram masala, fennel seeds powder, coriander leaves, and salt and and mix it well.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and roll out each portion into a 50 mm. (2”) flat round cutlet.
- Dip the cutlets into the egg white mixture and then rolls the cutlets in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Preheat a skillet over medium flame, place the cutlets and drizzle a teaspoon of oil and cook the cutlets on both until brown in colour and crisp
- Once done, serve the Rajma Oats Cutlet with a green chutney and a cup of tea.
