Cheesy Cheese Cookies Recipe

Cheese Cookies are a popular bakery cookies. These cookies are moist, tasty, and rich in taste. Each bit of these cookies gives a wonderful mouth-feel and has a wonderful aroma. These cookies are different from regular cookies, as they taste sightly salty and spicy. These cookies. can be easily prepared in your home within few minutes. It tastes best with a cup of hot tea.
Ingredients
- 2 tbspGrated processed cheese
- 1/2 cupButter (room temperature)
- A Pinch OfChili powder
- A Pinch OfSalt
- 1 cupPlain flour (maida)
- For RollingPlain flour (maida)
Directions
- In a bowl, add the the butter and beat it until light and creamy and add the cheese, chili powder and salt to the butter mixture and mix it well.
- Add the plain flour, mix it well and knead into a semi-stiff dough and divide the dough into 3 equal portions and cover the dough bowl with a lid and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
- After 15 min, remove from the refrigerator and roll a portion of the dough into a 175 mm. (7”) diameter thin circle and dust a little plain flour.
- Cut into 8 small rounds of approx. 37 mm. (1½”) in diameter with the help of a cookie cutter.
- Arrange the cookies on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180°c (360°f) for 15 minutes.
- Once baked, remove from the from the oven and store in an air tight container and enjoy it with a cup of tea whenever you want to.
