Vegetable Cheese Grilled Sandwich Recipe

Vegetable Cheese Grilled Sandwich is a prefect sandwich recipe when you want have something light. This sandwich has a goodness of various vegetables and the cheese provides required creamy texture to the sandwich. It is a great way to satisfy your hunger at any time of the day. This is sandwich can be packed in your kid’s lunch box.
Ingredients
- 12triangular bread slices
- 32boiled and peeled potato slices
- 12capsicum rings
- 40cucumber slices
- 24tomato slices
- 12onion slices
- 2 cupsgrated processed cheese
- 6 tspbutter
- 8 tspgreen chutney
- sandwichmasala for sprinkling (easily available at the market)
- saltfor sprinkling
- butterfor brushing
For Green Chutney
- 2 cupschopped mint leaves (phudina)
- 1 cupchopped coriander (dhania)
- 1 tbsplemon juice
- 1 tbsproughly chopped green chilies
- 1 tbsproughly chopped ginger (adrak)
- saltto taste
For The Garnish
- 2 cupsgrated processed cheese
Directions
For Green Chutney
- In a blender, add mint leaves, coriander leaves, lemon juice, green chili, ginger, salt ,and also add ¼ cup of water and blend to a smooth paste and keep it aside.
How to Proceed
- Apply 1½ tsp of butter and 2 tsp of green chutney on 3 bread slices and keep it aside.
- Place a slice of bread, with the buttered-chutney side facing upwards, on a clean and dry surface and arrange 8 potato slices over it and sprinkle some sandwich masala and salt evenly over it.
- Arrange 3 capsicum rings evenly over it and place another bread slice over it, with the buttered-chutney side facing upwards.
- Arrange 10 cucumber slices over it and again sprinkle some sandwich masala and salt evenly over it.
- Arrange 6 tomato slices and 3 onion slices over it and again sprinkle some sandwich masala and salt evenly over it.
- Sprinkle ½ cup of cheese evenly over it and cover it with another slice of bread with the buttered-chutney side facing downwards.
- Spread a little butter on the bread slice and press it lightly and place the prepared sandwich in a greased and preheated sandwich maker and turn the sandwich upside down so that the buttered side faces downwards.
- Again spread a little butter on the bread slice and grill it for 3 to 4 minutes or till the sandwich turns golden brown in color and crisp from both the sides.
- Once done, cut the grilled sandwich into 6 pieces by using a sharp knife and place it on a serving plate and garnish it with ½ cup of cheese on each grilled sandwich and serve it with any sauce of your choice.
