Vegetable in Creamy Sauce is a delightful and tasty dish. Here the colorful vegetables are cooked in the rich creamy white sauce. Ingredients
- 3/4 cupdiagonally cut and boiled mixed vegetables ( french beans, carrot, and green peas)
- 2 tspbutter
- 1/2 cupfinely chopped onions
- 1 tspfinely chopped green chilies
- 1/2 tspgarlic (lehsun) paste
- 1 cupwhite sauce
- saltand to taste
For The White Sauce
- 2 tbspbutter
- 2 tbspplain flour (maida)
- 2 cupsmilk
- saltto taste
- 1/2 tspfreshly ground black pepper (kalimirch)
Directions
For The White Sauce
- Heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan, add the plain flour and cook on a low flame for 1 to 2 minutes and stir continuously.
- Add the milk, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes, or cook till the sauce thickens and stir continuously.
- Add the salt and pepper, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute and once done, switch off the flame and keep it aside.
How To Proceed
- Heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan, add the onions, green chilies and garlic paste and fry on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add all the mixed vegetables and fry on a medium flame for 1 minute and add the perpared white sauce, a little salt and pepper, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 2 minutes and stir occasionally and once done, switch off the flame.
- Serve hot with any Indian flat bread.
