Healthy Broken Wheat Upma Recipe

Broken Wheat Upma is a easy, tasty Indian breakfast dish that is very easily prepared at home. This Upma is different and also healthy from rava Upma recipe.It is a perfect wholesome dish for morning breakfast and especial special good breakfast option diabetic patients. Let’s follow this healthy recipe.
Ingredients
- 3 cupsbroken wheat (dalia)
- 1/4 tspoil
- as requiredmustard seeds ( rai / sarson)
- 2 tablespoonsfinely chopped green chilies
- 1 tablespoonchopped onions
- saltgrated ginger (adrak)
- 3green peas
- 1/4 tablespoonchopped carrots
- 1to taste
- 2 to 3Green Chilies, finely chopped
For The Garnish
- 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander (dhania)
Directions
- Step1Clean and wash the broken wheat in enough and then parboil the broken wheat in 2 cups of hot water for 3 to 4 minutes and drain the water from the broken wheat and keep it aside.
- Step2Heat the oil in a pressure cooker and add the mustard seeds and when the seeds crackle, add the green chilies and fry on a medium flame for a few seconds.
- Step3Add the onions and ginger, mix well and fry on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Step4Add the green peas and carrots, mix it well and fry on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Step5Add the parboiled broken wheat, salt and 1¼ cups of water, mix it well and pressure cook for15 min, switch off the flame and allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
- Step6Garnish with coriander leaves and serve it hot.
