Tasty and Yummy Kesar Peda Recipe

Kesar Peda is a classic sweet prepared during festive occasions. They are delicious and made with very few ingredients.This sweet has a nicely sweet aroma of kesar (saffron). This dessert recipe will be loved by kids and can also be served as a sweet dish after any meal. Try this recipe at your home.
Ingredients
- 1/4 tspsaffron (kesar) strands
- 2 cupscrumbled mawa (khoya)
- 1 tspmilk
- 1/2 cupsugar
- 1/4 tspcardamom (elaichi) powder
Directions
- In a bowl add the saffron and milk , mix it very well and keep it aside.
- Heat the mawa in a broad non-stick pan and cook on a medium flame for 7 to 8 minutes and stir continuously.
- Add the sugar, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minute and stir continuously, switch off the flame and transfer the mixture into a thali and spread it evenly.
- Cover it with a lid and keep it aside and crumble the mawa mixture, add the cardamom powder and saffron-milk mixture and mix it very well.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a round flat 376 mm. (1½”) diameter circle and serve or store in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator.
