Ramzan Special Sheer Khurma

Sheer Khurma or Sheer Korma is a traditional mouth-watering dessert recipe that you can easily prepare at your home. This sweet dish recipe is filled with the richness of dry fruits and nuts, and is cooked using vermicelli, milk along with ghee. This delicious sweet dish recipe is a part of Mughlai cuisine and loved by all. Try this dessert this Ramzan.
Ingredients
- 2 tbspbutter/ghee
- 1/4 cupvermicelli (sevaiyan)
- 1/2 cupsugar
- 3 cupsmilk
- 1/4 cupchopped dried fruits
- 10-15raisins, chopped (kismis)
- 2 tbspdates (khajur)
- 1 tspchirongi nuts (charoli)
- 1/2 tspcardamom (elaichi) powder
- 2 tbsprose water
- for garnishcardamom (elaichi) powder
Directions
- Heat the butter or ghee in a deep pan, add the vermicelli and cook till it turns golden brown in color.
- Add the sugar and milk and cook until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the dry fruits and raisins, mix it well and cook it on a low flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Add the fresh dates, charoli, cardamom powder and rose water and cook it on a low flame for 1 to 2 minutes and if the sheer korma is too thick then add a little hot water and mix it gently.
- Switch off the flame, transfer it to a bowl and and garnish with cardamom powder and serve it hot or chill.
