Tasty Besan Sheera/Halwa Recipe

Besan Sheera/Halwa is rich and very delicious Indian dessert. It is a traditional prepared during the special occasion. This dessert is made with besan, sugar, ghee and milk. Besan (gram flour) is a rich source of carbohydrates and protein. Let’s follow this recipe.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cupbesan (gram flour)
- 3/4 cupmilk
- 5 tbspmelted ghee (clarified butter)
- 3/4 cupsugar
For The Garnish
- 1/4 tspcardamom (elaichi) powder
- 10-15blanched and sliced almonds (badam)
Directions
- In a bowl add besan, 2 tbsp of milk and 1 tbsp of ghee in a bowl and mix it nicely and keep it aside for 10 min.
- Heat 4 tbsp of ghee in a broad vessel, add the besan mixture and cook on a low flame for 8 to 10 minutes and stir continuously, switch off the flame and keep it aside.
- Heat the milk and ¾ cup of water in a deep kadhai, add the besan mixture and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes and stir continuously.
- Add the sugar and cook on a medium flame for 4 to 5 minutes and stir continuously and add cardamom powder, mix it nicely and switch off the flame.
- Garnish it with almonds slices and serve it hot and relish its flavors.
