Healthy and Tasty Palak Puri Recipe

Palak (Spinach) Puri is healthy and tasty version of regular puri. These puris are attractive because of its green color and also delicious. This is perfect for morning breakfast and also can be packed in kid’s lunch box.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cupSpinach (palak) puree ( blanch in hot water and then blend to a smooth puree)
- 1 cupWhole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
- 1 tspGreen chili paste
- 1/2 tspGinger garlic paste
- saltTo taste
- Deep-Fryingoil
Directions
- In a bowl add wheat flour, green chili paste, ginger-garlic paste, spinach puree, and salt and knead it into a stiff dough by using enough water.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out each portion of the dough into a 75 mm. (3”) diameter circle.
- Heat the oil in a deep non-stick kadhai and deep-fry, a few puris at a time on a medium flame and fry till they turn golden brown in color from all the sides.
- Drain on an absorbent paper and serve it with chole and relish it flavors. Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A, manganese, folate, magnesium, iron, vitamin C, vitamin B 2, calcium, potassium, and vitamin B 6.
