Onion Roti is a nice way to give a new twist to regular plain roti.This is a perfect breakfast dish and it is full of flavors. This roti can be prepared with few ingredient in just a few minutes.Try this easy and tasty roti recipe at your home.
Ingredients
- 1 cupwhole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
- 1 cupfinely chopped onions
- 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander (dhania)
- 1 1/2 tspfinely chopped green chilies
- 1 tspcumin seeds (jeera)
- 1/2 tspgrated ginger (adrak)
- 2 tbspmelted ghee
- saltto taste
- whole wheatflour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
- oilfor cooking
Directions
- In a bowl add wheat flour, chopped onions, chopped coriander, chopped green chili, cumin seeds, grated ginger, ghee, and salt and mix it well and knead to make a soft smooth by using enough water and cover it with a muslin cloth and keep it aside for few min.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll out each portion of the dough into a 125 mm. (5”) diameter circle and dust some wheat flour over it.
- Heat a non-stick tawa (griddle) and cook each roti, using a little oil, till golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
- Serve it with a bowl of fresh curd and ginger pickle.
