Green Moong Dal and Spring Onion Paratha Recipe

Green Moong Dal and Spring Onion is a delicious paratha that is packed with protein and fiber. The use of spring onion and chana dal in this paratha brings out a delicious flavor. This paratha is a wholesome paratha recipe ideal for breakfast or for brunch.
Ingredients
For The Dough
- 1 cupwhole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
- 1 tspghee
- saltto taste
- 3 tbspgreen moong dal (split green gram), soaked for 3 hours, boiled and drained
- 1/4 cupfinely chopped spring onions (whites and greens)
- 1 tspchili powder
- 1 tspcumin seeds (jeera) powder
- 1/4 tspasafoetida (hing)
- saltto taste
- whole wheatflour (gehun ka atta) for rolling
- oilfor cooking

For the stuffing
- In a bowl add boiled chana dal, chopped spring onion, chili powder, cumin powder, hing, and salt and mix it nicely.
- In a bowl add chopped strawberries and powdered sugar and mix it nicely and put it aside.
For the dough
- In a bowl add wheat flour, ghee and salt and knead into a soft dough by using enough water.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and keep it aside.
How to proceed
- Roll out each portion of the dough into a 75 mm. (3") diameter circle and place a portion of the stuffing in the center of the circle and bring together all the sides in the center and seal it tightly.
- Roll out again into a 125 mm. (5") diameter circle and by using a little whole wheat flour.
- Heat a non-stick tawa (griddle) and cook each paratha by using a little oil and cook till they turn golden brown in color from both the sides.
- Serve it with any side dish of your choice.
