Tasty and Easy Green Pea Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cupboiled and coarsely crushed green peas
- 8toasted whole wheat bread slices
- 12tomato slices
- saltfor sprinkling
To Be Mixed Into A Thousand Island Dressing
- 2 tbspthick fresh curd (dahi)
- 1 tbspfresh cream
- 1 tspfinely chopped onions
- 1 tspfinely chopped capsicum
- 2 tsptomato ketchup
- 1/2 tspsugar
- 1/4 tspchili sauce
- 1/4 tspfinely chopped green chilies
- 1/4 tspmustard (rai) powder
- saltto taste
Directions
For a thousand island dressing
- In a bowl add fresh cream, curd, chopped onions, capsicum, tomato ketchup, sugar, chili sauce, chopped green chili, mustard powder, and salt and mix it well and keep it aside for later use.
How to proceed
- In a bowl add crushed green pea and the prepared thousand island dressing and mix it well and divide the stuffing into equal portions and keep it aside.
- Place a bread slice on a clean dry surface and spread a portion of the stuffing evenly on it and place 3 tomato slices on it. Sprinkle a little salt over it, and cover it using another bread slice.
- Serve it with a hot bowl of pea soup and complete your meal.
Handy tip
- Make this as close to serving time as possible or else the sev will turn soggy.
