Tasty Strawberry Tart Recipe

It is an ideal dessert for this auspicious occasion. It is a delectable tart that is light and fluffy. It is a perfect dessert for any party. These tarts are crispy and tasty from the outer crust and it is filled with delicately sliced fresh strawberry's and a comforting whipped cream filling inside it. Try this tasty dessert at your home.

Ingredients
- 10tarts
For The Filling
- 2 tsplow fat butter
- 1 tbspcastor sugar
- 3/4 cupplain flour (maida)
- pinch ofbaking powder
- 1 tbspcustard powderr
- 1 tbsplow-fat milk
- plain flour(maida) for rolling and dusting
Other Ingredients
- 2 cupssliced strawberries
- 6 tbsphoney
For The Garnish
- A fewalmond (badam), chopped
Directions
For the tarts
- Sieve together the flour and baking powder in a bowl and keep it aside.
- In a bowl add the low fat butter and sugar and mix it with a wooden spoon till light and fluffy.
- Add the flour, custard powder and milk and mix it gently to form a dough and knead the dough on a light dusted surface until smooth.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a 100 mm. (4”) round by using a little plain flour.
- Press each round into a greased tart mold (approx. 67 mm. (2½” ) in diameter) and prick with a fork at even distance.
- Place them on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180°f (360°f) for 15 minutes or until the tarts are golden in colour.
- Remove it from the oven and de-mold and keep it aside to cool.
For the filling
- In a bowl, add chopped strawberries and beaten whipped cream and fold it gently and keep it aside.
How to proceed
- In a bowl, add the sliced strawberries and honey in a bowl and toss it gently and keep it in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
- Place the tarts on a clean dry surface and arrange a few honey coated strawberry slices along the circumference of each tart.
- Put approx. 1 tbsp of the filling in the center of each tart and garnish it with chopped almonds and serve it.
