Masala Cheese Toast Recipe
Masala Cheese Toast is a quick breakfast or snack recipe popular among people of all age group. This toast tastes scrumptious and is perfect for any occasion. Try this recipe at your home.
Ingredients
For The Masala Topping
- 1 1/2 tbspoil
- 1/4 cupfinely chopped onions
- 1/2 tspgarlic (lehsun) paste
- 1/2 cupfinely chopped mixed vegetables (cabbage , cauliflower, carrot and French beans)
- 1/4 cupboiled , peeled and mashed potatoes
- 1/2 tspchili powder
- 1/2 tsplemon juice
- 2 tbspfinely chopped coriander (dhania)
- saltto taste
- 4whole wheat bread slices
- butterfor spreading
- 4 tbspgrated processed cheese

Directions
For the masala topping
- Heat the oil in a broad non-stick pan, add onions and garlic paste and fry on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Add all the mixed vegetables and fry on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Add the potatoes, chili powder, lemon juice, coriander and salt, mix it well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute and keep it aside.
How to proceed
- Preheat the oven to 200°c (400°f).
- Divide the topping into equal portions and keep it aside.
- Spread a little butter on bread slices and place them on a clean, dry surface with the buttered side facing upwards.
- Spread a portion of the topping and 1 tbsp of grated cheese on each buttered bread slice and bake in a preheated oven at 200°c (400°f) for 15 minutes.
- Serve it hot with a bowl of tomato soup.
