Tasty Beetroot Raita Recipe
Beetroot raita is a very healthy raita prepared from beetroot. A very basic raita which is easy to prepare and very tasty to be served as a side dish. Beetroot has many healthy benefits and so try to include beetroot in your daily diet. Try this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 CupBeaten Curd/Yogurt
- 3/4 CupGrated Beetroot
- 1Green Chili
- 1/4 tspCumin Powder
- 1/4 tspFennel Powder [optional]
- 1/2 tspRock Salt/Kala Namak
- 1 tbspChopped Coriander Leaves
- 1/4 tspSalt (or to taste)
Directions
- Peel the skin of the beetroot and grate beetroot, finely chop green chili, coriander leaves.
- In a bowl add grated beetroot, chopped coriander leaves, green chili, rock salt, salt, cumin powder, fennel powder and mix it well and keep aside for 5 min for beetroot to release juice and mix with all the flavors.
- After 5 min, add chilled beaten curd/yogurt and mix it well and adjust salt according to your taste.
- Keep it in the refrigerator and serve it chill.
Notes
- You can add 1 tsp sugar if you want.
- You can add chat masala or 1 tsp amchur powder for tangy taste.
- You can use chopped beetroot instead of grated beetroot.
